Main Page
From Wiire
Hi all, and welcome to WiiRE - Hopefully with a little effort this will become a truly useful site with all the details on the Wii's hardware. Data will be added to this page at very likely an alarming rate! If you are interested in contributing to this site, please let me know. The site is now underway, but there's a lot more data to add! Don't worry, more data will be added as I (or other people I've given access) look at more stuff and figure it out.
Please note that this is somewhat of a protected wiki; only an elite caste of editors will be able to modify the main content sites. The rest of you, however, are free to modify the talk pages - please feel free to leave feedback, it will be looked at!
Places to visit:
- Base Wii page, contains links to all other RE'd Wii things

Latest News:
- May 26, 2007 - I haven't forgotten about this site, just so much other stuff going on at the moment. More updates to come when I get some time to hack again.
- March 11, 2007 - Well, not much as been going on. I've been busy with work and various other projects. User pages can now be modified by the users who own them. I'm still working on some stuff for wii re'ing, it's just not quite ready yet (other stuff has been pre-empting it), when it is ready, I'll start posting waveforms of various communications that are going on between devices.
- December 27, 2006 - At long last! I've managed to secure myself a 2nd wii console for disassembly purposes :) The disassembly and serious RE'ing will begin when I receive my new camera - for the purpose of getting better pictures for a disassembly page, of course.
- December 18, 2006 - Still in the market for a 2nd Wii, will get one soon :) In the meantime I've got a hot air rework station heading my way, and I will soon be sacrificing a wiimote with due dilligence to obtain it's chips' tasty binary data!
- December 11, 2006 - No luck getting a 2nd wii, so I've taken mine apart. Thankfully, after many difficult hours tinkering and taking pictures, the console is all back in one piece and is again functioning perfectly! Hardware sniffing is on the agenda, but I need to design a new hardware sniffer app first, which is where most of my free time is going to at the moment. Keep watching and be sure to check out the new Wii console hardware pages!
- December 10, 2006 - So, the wiimote, nunchuk, and classic controller pages have been up for a bit. I've been trying to get my hands on a 2nd wii, so I can live without the fear of breaking my first one (which I luv so very very much!) - So, all the rumors have it that this morning there will be Wiis... around.... somewhere.... - I'm going to see if I can get my hands on one, to take apart without prejudice :) If all else fails, I will take apart my current console (*sniff*) and hope I don't break anything. Wish me luck!
